Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox went to her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She took a course in harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. Lennox lived on a student allowance and took off on a part-time job to supplement her budget. Lennox decided to change her profession following her dissatisfaction with her inexperience in the same way as the other Royal Academy students. Lennox performed flute in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. But she quit before the band went to I.T.V.s talent show New Faces. She sang lead for The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox started work for Diva in 1992, her first solo album. It received lots of praise from critics and the public. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album came out in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite jazz, blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera came out by Lennox on May 19, 2019. It is a collection comprising four tracks that were composed by Lennox. The E.P. is a companion piece of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled"Now, I'll let You Go... It's also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on December 25th 1954. The latter part of the 70s was when Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while members the group known as The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international recognition in the 80s as Eurythmics. Lennox made her debut as a solo artist in 1992 with the release of Diva that featured several hit tracks like Why and walking on Broken Glass. Medusa, a 1995 studio album features cover versions of popular songs such as No More I Love Yous as well as A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six solo studio albums and one compilation album at her disposal.
